Formula D1 x N1 = D2 ÷ N2
 
D1 = Followed Pulley
N1 = Required RPM.
D2 = Drive Pulley
N2 = Original  RPM.
 

Ex.  given fan speed (required rpm) and also followed pulley, please figure out what drive pulley’s is  ?
 
Assumption : - Required rpm = 900 RPM
  - Followed Pulley 8"
  - Drive Pulley  ?
  - 4P Motor, with 1,400 RPM
 
Solution : = D1 x N 1 = D2
