Types of Fans
Types of Fans
Fans can be categorized into seven main types defined by the method of air movement they employ.
| Types | Adjustment | Advantages | Benefit |
| Axial | In an axial fan the air flows in parallel to the shaft | - | - Removing dust, smoke and heat - Air intake |
| Axial in line | Motor in parallel with the propeller | Simply | Ventilation systems |
| Axial belt driven | Fan are belt-driven by an external prevents motor | Motor does not clash with the wind | Vacuuming polluted air |
| Centrifugal | Air flows in angle of 90° | Use to send wind to high wind loads | - |
| Centrifugal forward | The blade wheel is mounted in housing and the blades are forward curved | High wind loads | Use to send wind for near |
| Centrifugal backward | The blade wheel are mounted in housing and the blades are backward curved | High pressure | Use to send wind for far |
| Ventilator | - | - Removing dust, smoke and heat from factories.
